Cards

Jokers of Neon uses several card families that interact during a run in different ways.

Card Families

  • Traditional cards
    • Include the 52 standard suited cards, Joker (52), and Wildcard (53)
  • Neon cards
    • Neon versions of traditional cards, plus Neon Joker and Neon Wildcard
  • Modifier cards
    • Change suit or card type behavior
  • Power-ups
    • Single-use point or multiplier boosts
  • Special cards
    • Persistent run-defining effects
  • Rage cards
    • Temporary debuffs attached to rage rounds
  • Loot boxes
    • Randomized rewards sold in shops

Card Scoring Notes

  • Traditional cards follow face value: 2-10, J/Q/K = 10, A = 11
  • Joker substitutes any traditional card and adds +100 points and +1 multi
  • Neon Joker substitutes any traditional card and adds +200 points and +2 multi
  • Wildcard substitutes any traditional card
  • Wildcard of Neon substitutes any neon card
  • Neon traditional cards are upgraded variants that add higher points and generally +1 multi
